As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in this dynamic educational environment, you'll collaborate closely with OTs, educators, and families to foster student growth and independence.
In this role, you’ll work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, 40 hours per week, during the academic year (August through June). The caseload will be finalized prior to your start, but you can anticipate working with elementary-aged students in a variety of school settings.
Qualifications:
- Active, valid COTA license issued by the state of California
- Previous school-based experience or pediatric background preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and caseload needs
- Willingness to work across multiple sites in the East Bay region
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement OT treatment plans under the supervision of an OT
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills
- Document progress and track student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with students, staff, and families
