Essential Qualifications:
- Current certification as a COTA
- Experience or strong interest in working with K-12th grade students
- Familiarity with school-based occupational therapy practices
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in a multidisciplinary, virtual-assisted environment
- Ability to work independently while supporting and implementing OT plans
- Reliable, organized, and compassionate approach to supporting children of varying abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in executing individualized occupational therapy goals under the direction of a virtual OT
- Support students in meeting educational and developmental milestones
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate observations to supervising OT and educational staff
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to integrate occupational therapy strategies into daily classroom activities
- Adapt activities and environments to address students’ unique physical and cognitive needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team discussions about student progress
