Step into an engaging contract position where your expertise as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) will make a daily impact on elementary students’ development. This full-time opportunity is based near Sunnyvale, CA, serving elementary-aged learners across East Bay campuses for the upcoming school year, from August through June.
As a valued member of the educational team, you’ll play a key role supporting students’ growth and participation in school routines. With a manageable caseload (number of students to be determined), you’ll collaborate directly with occupational therapists and school staff to help students develop essential skills for classroom success.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted COTA license in California
- Experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage flexible caseloads
- A passion for supporting young learners’ academic and personal growth
Responsibilities:
- Carry out occupational therapy interventions designed by the supervising OT
- Support students’ development in motor skills, self-care, and adaptive behaviors within classroom environments
- Document sessions and progress, maintaining clear and thorough records
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adapt strategies and materials to individual student needs
Schedule & Details:
- Contract position, August through June
- 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Elementary school caseload, East Bay campuses
