You’ll be joining an educational environment dedicated to student growth, with your expertise contributing to student progress and well-being across both Portage and Valparaiso locations. The contract runs the full school year, allowing you to make consistent connections with your caseload.
Key Qualifications:
- Licensed as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Prior experience in school-based OT or COTA roles preferred
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt interventions to individual student needs
- Current resume and active, valid licensure required for submission
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide OT interventions and support to students as directed by student IEPs
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to promote student independence and participation
- Adapt and modify classroom environments and activities to support access to the curriculum
- Document assessments, treatment plans, and student progress according to school procedures
- Maintain compliance with all relevant state, federal, and school policies
