Key Qualifications:
- Active Indiana Occupational Therapy Assistant license and current certification as required by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA)
- Pediatric experience is highly desirable
- Experience with school-based populations and familiarity with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Reliable personal transportation for travel between multiple school sites (mileage reimbursement provided)
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services through the implementation of individualized treatment plans under the direction of the Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR)
- Complete all necessary documentation promptly and accurately
- Assist with therapy activities and preparation of materials to enhance service delivery
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate occupational therapy approaches into the school day
- Adapt to various school environments to ensure continuity of care for students
- Contribute to a supportive, student-centered culture and perform additional duties as assigned by the OTR
