Step into a vital role supporting early childhood development by providing therapy services for children ages 3-5 across multiple early childhood centers and classrooms in Northampton and Monroe counties. This contract position offers the unique opportunity to travel among several locations, making a lasting impact in a variety of school environments. The role is set to begin August 17 and spans the school year until June 5, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
Desired background and qualifications:
- Valid PA Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license required
- Experience working in school or early childhood settings, especially in healthcare-related COTA roles
- Strong skills in delivering therapy to preschool-aged children (3-5 years)
- Ability to travel between assigned schools and early childhood centers
- Flexible, organized, and comfortable managing a caseload in multiple locations
- Enthusiastic about early intervention approaches and collaboration with educational and clinical teams
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to young children, helping support their functional, developmental, and social-emotional growth
- Travel to various early learning centers and classrooms across assigned areas
- Collaborate with licensed Occupational Therapists, teachers, and family members to ensure holistic care and progress
- Complete necessary documentation and maintain compliance with all credentialing and regulatory requirements in Pennsylvania
- Participate in ongoing supervision provided by the district
