Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in Illinois
- Experience delivering OT services in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong understanding of elementary-aged children’s development and learning needs
- Ability to collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families
- Exceptional communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for elementary students
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services addressing fine motor, sensory, and functional academic skills
- Provide recommendations and strategies to teachers and staff to support student participation and success
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation in accordance with district and regulatory guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
- Adapt therapy interventions to meet diverse student needs within an educational setting
