This in-person position offers a consistent 32.5-hour workweek, allowing you to make a significant difference across varied school settings while working collaboratively with educators, families, and fellow therapists.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist licensure in Missouri, or eligibility to obtain.
- Previous experience in school-based settings or working with pediatric populations is highly valued.
- Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and documentation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, teachers, and families.
- Flexibility to work across different grade levels with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for K-12 students.
- Deliver direct therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote student success and actively participate in team meetings.
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation in compliance with district procedures.
- Provide consultative support, education, and training for staff and caregivers regarding occupational therapy interventions and student needs.
- Adapt therapy sessions using creative techniques to engage and motivate students of all ability levels.
