Step into a dynamic opportunity supporting students as a contract Occupational Therapist in a school setting, located near Ballwin, MO. This on-site role starts as soon as possible and continues through late January 2027, making a meaningful difference in students’ educational journeys across two different school settings. You’ll bridge critical gaps by providing coverage for an open position in the Hazelwood area through mid-October, and then transition to cover a 12-week leave in the Normandy area.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current, active OT license for the state of Missouri
- School-based OT experience preferred, with the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
- Adaptability to serve multiple campuses
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Must complete district credentialing steps, including fingerprinting and required technology documentation
Role & Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct Occupational Therapy services for students ranging from early childhood through grade 12
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP objectives
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate student progress and independence
- Maintain clear and timely documentation of interventions and student outcomes
- Participate in team meetings to provide insights on student needs and progress
This position offers the chance to work a consistent weekday schedule, supporting 37.5 hours weekly in a collaborative and supportive school environment, while positively impacting the lives of students with special needs.
