Step into a rewarding contract role providing essential occupational therapy services to students across three schools located in the Hazelwood District. This on-site opportunity begins as soon as possible and runs through late May of next year, offering you the chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and adolescents in diverse educational settings.
You’ll support students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, collaborating with educators and families to help meet each child’s unique goals. Expect to work 37.5 hours weekly across Barrington Elementary, North Middle School, and West High School, serving a varied caseload and building meaningful, supportive relationships within the school community.
Qualifications & Required Experience:
- Active Missouri Occupational Therapist license (required)
- Experience providing OT services in a school setting is highly preferred
- Comfort working with students ages 5-18 in group and individual sessions
- Familiarity with IEP processes and school-based documentation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to complete time-sensitive credentialing and compliance (fingerprinting, technology agreement)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy assessments and treatments to students with a range of abilities and needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapeutic interventions within the school environment
- Maintain thorough records and contribute to IEP meetings and progress reporting
- Educate staff and families on strategies to support student success in the classroom
- Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere that empowers students to achieve their potential
