The school’s hands-on approach includes onsite interviews, ensuring you get to experience the school's environment and population before making a commitment. The initial contract is for 3 months, with strong consideration for permanent placement for the right fit.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid OT licensure and credentialing for work in Maryland schools
- Experience working with adolescents and young adults, ideally in a school-based OT setting
- Strong consultative and direct therapy skills
- Passion for supporting diverse learners in educational settings
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students in grades 8-12, both individually and in groups
- Provide consultative support to teachers and staff for student success
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized OT plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Maintain ongoing documentation of student progress and services
