Occupational Therapist School Setting in Laurel, MD

In this role, you will deliver impactful services at a year-round educational setting near Laurel, MD. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid OT licensure for the state of Maryland
- Previous experience in a school-based setting, with a passion for working with adolescents and young adults
- Knowledge of IEP process, documentation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organizational, and consultative skills
- Ability to engage candidates during onsite interviews, as school requires in-person visits before placement decisions
- Strong commitment to fostering student independence and school participation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services individually and in groups
- Provide consultative input to staff and families to support student success
- Develop, monitor, and document progress on treatment goals aligned with IEPs
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and other service providers
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive educational environment
- Manage and prioritize caseload efficiently, utilizing half-day Wednesdays to stay current on paperwork and planning
