Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT licensure in Maryland (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
- Collaborative spirit, with adaptability to work with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of IEP processes and therapeutic interventions specific to pediatrics
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services in classrooms and small groups
- Establish and monitor goals to support academic achievement and independence
- Maintain accurate, timely records and progress reports
- Educate staff and families on strategies for integrating therapeutic goals into daily routines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to planning and progress discussions
- Adapt therapy plans as needed to address evolving student needs
