Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Prior experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for students with diverse needs
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation best practices
Responsibilities and Core Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine students’ strengths and areas for growth
- Develop and implement customized interventions to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and adaptive functioning
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support students’ educational goals
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide insights to help shape individualized educational programs
- Offer training and resources to staff and families for strategies that encourage student independence
