Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current OT licensure in the state of Maryland (or ability to obtain promptly)
- Experience working with school-aged children or in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to design and implement individualized interventions for diverse student needs
- Familiarity with IEP process and documentation procedures
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ unique needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, families, and other related service providers
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals and progress monitoring
- Offer direct and consultative therapy services to students, both individually and in groups
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
- Deliver parent and staff education relating to fine motor skills, sensory integration, and self-care strategies
