Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure
- Previous school-based experience is advantageous
- Strong understanding of pediatric OT practices and interventions
- Comfortable supervising and collaborating with support staff (COTA)
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches for a variety of developmental stages (Pre K-12)
- Commitment to delivering student-centered therapy services
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in alignment with IEP goals
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to a diverse student population
- Oversee and collaborate with a COTA, guiding intervention strategies and monitoring progress
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation on student progress and therapy outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings, family conferences, and multidisciplinary team collaborations
- Support school staff by providing knowledge and training related to occupational therapy best practices
- Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment for all students
