Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Previous experience or strong interest in pediatric/school-based settings
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to travel between assigned schools within the area
- Confidence in providing both direct therapy and indirect consultation
- Familiarity with diverse learning needs, including Autism spectrum disorders, is advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy to students as part of IEP teams in elementary and high school settings
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support student success and facilitate classroom participation
- Contribute to the Autism district program, offering expertise and adapting approaches for varied needs
- Maintain precise records, document progress, and participate in evaluations and meetings
- Provide training and resources to school staff as needed
- Adapt to evolving caseloads and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
