Key Qualifications:
- Active New Mexico Occupational Therapist PED certification
- Current New Mexico Occupational Therapist license
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy preferred
- Proficiency in assessment and documentation of student needs
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members, teachers, and families
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough student evaluations, including assessments and goal-setting
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to K–12 students based on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with educators, administrators, and families on student progress and plans
- Develop creative, individualized interventions that support functional skills and student participation in the classroom
- Maintain consistent communication with school staff and parents to ensure coordinated care
