Ideal Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid and current Occupational Therapist license for the state of Colorado (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred, but all school-based or pediatric backgrounds welcome
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement occupational therapy interventions independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for teamwork with teachers, families, and support staff
- Organizational skills to effectively manage caseloads, document services, and meet deadlines
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and screenings of students’ functional skills and needs
- Develop individualized therapy goals and implement treatment sessions
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress planning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure student success in the least restrictive environment
- Educate staff and parents on support strategies, protocols, and accommodations
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and communications
