Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Current OT license (or eligibility for licensure) in Michigan
- Previous experience, preferably in a school-based or pediatric environment
- Knowledge of IEP process and ability to contribute to team meetings
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators and families
- Effective time management and organization skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional abilities and determine appropriate therapy interventions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Work collaboratively with teachers, counselors, and special education staff
- Document progress, write reports, and update student records as required
- Deliver direct therapy to students in both group and one-on-one settings
- Educate school staff and parents on strategies to reinforce progress outside of therapy sessions
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional insights for student development
