As part of this role, you’ll provide essential OT services to students in low-incidence classrooms including those in life skills and autism programs, totaling approximately 36-40 students. Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license for the state
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric OT setting preferred
- Skilled at supporting students in special education, specifically in low-incidence or self-contained classrooms
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Enthusiastic about making an impact in the lives of K-12 students
- Ability to organize services for a full-time caseload of around 37.5 hours per week for the full academic year
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT services to students in alignment with IEP goals
- Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and track student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families
- Provide support and consultation for classroom modifications, adaptive equipment, and sensory needs
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with all district and state guidelines
