Key Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with current credentials recognized by the state
- Previous experience in a school environment, especially with elementary-aged students, is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of school-based OT practices and compliance with IEP processes
- Excellent communication skills for collaborative work with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to individual needs and learning environments
- Efficient organizational skills to manage caseload and student documentation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions tailored to elementary students
- Collaborate with educators and child study teams to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with district standards
- Participate in meetings and consultations with staff and parents to maximize student success
- Provide recommendations for classroom modifications and adaptive equipment when needed
- Contribute to a positive, supportive school atmosphere that promotes growth and learning
