Key Qualifications:
- Current New Mexico Occupational Therapist license required
- Holds New Mexico Occupational Therapist PED certification
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Adept at working within multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt intervention strategies across age groups and abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for K-12 students, identifying barriers to participation and learning
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings, providing expert input and collaborating on student goals
- Partner closely with teachers, support staff, administration, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Promote and model best practices in occupational therapy in a school environment
