This assignment offers a unique opportunity: begin by providing coverage for a vacancy in one subdistrict through mid-October, then transition to cover a 12-week FMLA leave in a neighboring district, supporting K-12 students as their needs evolve. The schedule consists of 37.5 hours per week, with the number of assigned campuses to be determined.
Qualifications:
- Current and active Occupational Therapist license in Missouri
- Schools-based experience or similar pediatric therapy background preferred
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new educational settings and engage with a diverse student population
- Ability to meet time-sensitive credentialing, including fingerprinting and completion of a technology compliance form
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group therapy sessions for students identified with varying needs
- Develop and implement treatment plans in coordination with special education teams and families
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, IEP development, and ongoing progress monitoring
- Comply with district policies, documentation, and technology usage requirements
- Transition smoothly between assigned schools, ensuring continuity of care and consistent support
