Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state OT license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and families
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet varied student needs
- Commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and ongoing education
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain comprehensive documentation
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and parents to optimize student access and success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights regarding student progress and recommendations
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to promote fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills
- Support classroom modifications and accommodations to foster an inclusive learning environment
