Key Attributes & Background:
- Active OT license and credentials qualifying you to provide services in a school setting
- Experience with K-12 populations, or a strong interest in developing expertise in pediatric and adolescent therapy
- Understanding of the unique needs of school-based therapy, including IEP participation and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, teachers, and families
- Strong organizational abilities to manage a varied caseload and documentation requirements
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans for students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Providing direct therapy to support fine motor, sensory, and functional skills in alignment with educational goals
- Collaborating closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure coordinated support and successful student outcomes
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing informed recommendations to support student success
- Maintaining accurate and timely records of services, progress, and evaluations
- Staying current with best practices and ongoing professional development in school-based occupational therapy
This role is 100% onsite, delivering services directly to students in a supportive, dynamic school community. You'll work full-time, averaging between 37.5 and 40 hours per week from now through the end of the school year.
