Qualifications and Preferred Background
- Active Occupational Therapy licensure or eligibility to obtain in North Carolina
- Previous experience working with school-aged children in a K-12 setting strongly preferred
- Solid grasp of school-based OT best practices, IEP development, and relevant assessments
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary teams
- Passion for creating positive, engaging experiences for students with diverse needs
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver occupational therapy services to a K-12 caseload with individualized and group interventions
- Conduct evaluations and develop, implement, and monitor IEPs focused on student strengths and needs
- Collaborate with educators and families to create environments that foster student success
- Provide input and expertise to inform classroom accommodations, assistive technology, and sensory strategies
- Maintain detailed treatment notes and comply with federal, state, and district documentation standards
