Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Occupational Therapist license in North Carolina
- Previous experience or strong interest in working with school-aged children (K-12)
- Understanding of school-based OT processes, including IEPs and goal-setting
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a dynamic school environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to K-12 students based on individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ needs and abilities relevant to their educational progress
- Design and implement appropriate therapeutic strategies to help students achieve functional goals
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to develop supportive learning environments
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings and progress evaluations
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
- Uphold compliance with state and district policies for school-based therapy services
This position requires on-site presence with a full-time workload of 37.5 to 40 hours per week from now through the end of the school year. You’ll play a crucial role in helping students achieve greater independence and success in their academic journey.
