Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in California
- At least one year of experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Familiarity with IEP process and documentation requirements
- Ability to effectively engage and encourage children of various ages and abilities
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff, families, and administrators
- Reliable, organized, and adaptable to changing needs
Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering direct therapy to students with a range of physical, developmental, or cognitive challenges
- Evaluating and assessing students’ needs through observation and standardized tools
- Contributing to the development and review of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborating with teachers, classroom aides, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate strategies into the classroom
- Documenting progress and maintaining thorough, timely records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Consulting with families and educators on supportive techniques and interventions
