Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a full-time Occupational Therapist on a contract assignment. This role covers a leave of absence and runs from ASAP through December 1. As an integral part of the school-based team, you’ll help students develop vital life skills and maximize their independence in an engaging, supportive environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current Occupational Therapist license in California
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities
- Familiarity with IEP processes and providing therapy in accordance with individual plans
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and work effectively with diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Develop treatment plans, monitor progress, and maintain detailed documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure coordinated care
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
- Educate and guide families and staff on strategies to facilitate fine motor, sensory, and self-care skill development in the classroom setting
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
