This opportunity allows you to manage a caseload of 50-60 students, supporting multiple schools including Camber, Bridges Academy, New Chelsea Elementary, Emerson Elementary, and Welborn Elementary. The flexible schedule allows you to create your own workdays, typically visiting between one to three school sites daily.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Kansas Occupational Therapy license required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently across multiple locations
- Experience with diverse K-12 populations highly valued
- Commitment to fostering student growth and independence
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy assessments and intervention for students per IEP requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective treatment plans
- Travel between assigned schools, organizing your daily schedule for optimal efficiency
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, goals, and student progress
- Offer guidance to faculty and parents on strategies for classroom and home success
- Actively participate in team meetings, contributing expert input on each student's needs and progress
