You’ll serve two students through the Jon Peterson Scholarship Program, providing approximately 2 hours of direct services each month. On-site visits are preferred, supported by the established guidelines of the scholarship program, and remote services may be considered as policies evolve. This is a rewarding chance to not only deliver direct services but also build relationships and collaborate closely with a dedicated educational team.
Requirements & Experience:
- Current OT license in the state of Ohio
- Experience working in schools or with pediatric populations
- Familiarity with IEP-driven therapy and documentation requirements
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfort collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals
- Ability to travel to the Mansfield area as needed
- Previous experience supporting students under scholarship/IEP programs is a plus
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, IEP-mandated occupational therapy to two students (one 10th grader, one kindergartner)
- Complete monthly service sessions (one hour per student)
- Maintain therapy notes, progress logs, and ensure timely documentation
- Coordinate with school staff, families, and program coordinators to facilitate optimal student outcomes
- Adhere to program policies and adapt service model as guidelines update
