Qualifications & Skills Sought:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure for school settings
- Previous experience in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy strongly preferred
- Ability to develop, implement, and adapt individualized treatment plans for students
- Effective communication skills to work with educators, students, and parents
- Familiarity with sensory integration, fine motor, and functional life skills interventions
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments for students referred for OT services
- Design and deliver individualized and group therapy sessions tailored to each student’s goals
- Collaborate with fellow OTs, COTAs, and educational staff to ensure integrated and effective care
- Develop and maintain required documentation, progress reports, and treatment records
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing professional insight and collaborating on educational planning
- Empower both students and classroom teachers by providing strategies and resources
