Occupational Therapist School Setting in Wilmington, IL
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing Occupational Therapy services to students for the 2026-2027 school year. Your schedule will be for three days each week (7 hours and 40 minutes per day) with a designated 30-minute lunch, offering flexibility while making a difference in the lives of children.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Experience working in a school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and student progress documentation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow therapists, educators, and families
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Passion for fostering student growth and functional independence
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group therapy sessions to students with diverse needs
- Assess and document student progress, supporting the development and implementation of IEPs
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including OT colleagues and COTAs
- Engage in staff consultations to support classroom and school-wide interventions
- Contribute creative solutions that help students achieve educational and functional goals
- Stay current with best practices in pediatric OT and legal requirements in school-based therapy
