Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide temporary coverage in a school-based setting in Mesa, Arizona. This assignment is expected to begin in January 2027 and last approximately 12 weeks, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week. The OT will support students across five school sites, including four elementary schools and one junior high school, and will be responsible for supervising a COTA.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to students across K–8 educational settings
- Conduct assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans based on student needs and IEP goals
- Provide direct and consultative OT services
- Travel between four elementary schools and one junior high school as needed
- Supervise and provide guidance to an assigned COTA
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, families, and related service providers
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student-centered planning
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports

- Strong school-based occupational therapy skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Ability to manage services across multiple school sites
- Ability to effectively supervise and support a COTA
- Comfortable working with students across elementary and junior high grade levels
Qualifications
- Arizona OT License
- AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- School-based OT experience required
- Experience supervising a COTA preferred
Experience
- School experience is strongly preferred
- Previous experience working across multiple school sites is a plus
- Experience supervising COTAs is preferred
Education
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Work Hours & Industry
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Schedule: Monday–Friday; start and end times are flexible
Assignment Length: Approximately 12 weeks
