School-Based Occupational Therapist – PreK-8
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time school-based contract position in Phoenix, Arizona, for the 2026–2027 school year. This role will provide occupational therapy services to students ranging from preschool through 8th grade. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with students across a variety of developmental levels and collaborating with educators and related service providers to support student success.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations, assessments, and direct services to students in PreK through 8th grade.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals.
- Address students' fine motor, sensory, visual-motor, and functional skills as appropriate.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, families, and other members of the educational team.
- Provide recommendations and strategies to support students in the classroom environment.
Qualifications
- Arizona Occupational Therapist licensure required.
- Appropriate Arizona school-based credentialing required.
- ASHA certification not applicable.
Experience
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred.
- Experience working with students across multiple grade levels is beneficial.
Skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Adaptability when working with students with diverse developmental and educational needs.
