The contract runs from August 25, 2026, through June 8, 2027, offering up to 37.5 hours per week (part-time or full-time availability considered). Your schedule will follow a convenient Monday through Friday routine during standard school hours. The specific school assignment and caseload will be determined based on district needs and may fluctuate over the year, but rest assured—there are typically only a select few homebound cases.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Delaware Occupational Therapist license (required for consideration)
- Strong background in delivering OT services within school settings
- Experience supporting students with diverse abilities, including those who are medically homebound, is highly desirable
- Ability to adapt to shifting caseloads and school assignments throughout the school year
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for helping students reach their full potential
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to students in both onsite and homebound environments
- Collaborate with educational teams and families to develop and implement IEP-driven interventions
- Document progress, maintain records, and participate in meetings as needed
- Serve as a resource for school staff regarding strategies and accommodations that promote student independence
