Key Qualifications/Experience:
- Active Delaware Occupational Therapist license required
- Experience in school-based occupational therapy, preferably working with a range of ages and student needs
- Willingness and ability to transition between school-based assignments and providing services to homebound students
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Organizational adaptability, recognizing that caseloads and settings may change throughout the year
- Dedication to evidence-based practice and supporting students’ individual education plans (IEPs)
Role Highlights & Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in alignment with established IEPs and district guidelines
- Provide direct and consultative therapy for school-based students, as well as those who are homebound due to medical needs
- Adapt intervention strategies to unique settings and student abilities
- Documentation of assessments, therapy progress, and compliance with district protocols
- Maintain communication and collaboration with families, teachers, and support staff
- Flexibility to work a full-time or part-time schedule, Monday through Friday
