Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in California
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric OT setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education law
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a collaborative team
- Organizational proficiency for documentation and scheduling
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ needs and establish appropriate interventions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support educational and developmental goals
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, providing insight and recommendations
- Deliver direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain required records and timely documentation in line with school and regulatory standards
- Adapt and modify classroom materials and environments to promote student participation
- Provide training and resources for school personnel as needed
