Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in California
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings
- Proficiency with school-based OT assessments and intervention plans
- Background in home health OT or teletherapy is highly desired
- Strong communication and adaptability—comfortable collaborating with educators, administrators, and families
- Ability to maintain thorough records and adhere to required documentation standards
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and deliver evidence-based therapy to students with diverse needs
- Support students in achieving greater independence in daily school activities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and review IEPs and 504 plans
- Provide home-based OT support and use teletherapy tools as needed to connect with students virtually
- Consult with teachers and staff to integrate therapeutic strategies within the classroom
- Regularly update progress reports to families and the school team
