Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current OT license valid for practice
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Familiarity with IEPs and documentation requirements
- Strong interdisciplinary teamwork and communication skills
- Compassion and patience working with diverse student populations
- Ability to adapt therapy methods to individualized student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct occupational therapy assessments for students ages PreK to high school
- Develop and implement tailored intervention plans to address fine/gross motor skills, sensory processing, and self-regulation
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families on student progress and accommodations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting and service planning
- Document ongoing therapy sessions, progress notes, and compliance paperwork
- Provide training and resources to school staff regarding OT best practices
- Assist in creating an inclusive, accessible learning environment for all students
