Bring your expertise in school-based occupational therapy to a dynamic contract position serving students in the Saint Louis area. This assignment offers the chance to support young learners across multiple school settings, providing essential OT services and collaborating with a diverse educational team. You'll play a vital role as a dedicated OT, initially assisting in the Hazelwood district before stepping in to provide FMLA coverage in another district, ensuring students receive uninterrupted support.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Missouri Occupational Therapy license required
- Previous experience in school-based OT preferred
- Comfortable working onsite and adapting to varying caseload needs
- Familiarity with school-age populations, spanning elementary to high school
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to meet district credentialing requirements, including fingerprinting and technology agreements
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy assessments, interventions, and documentation for students as assigned
- Collaborate closely with special education teams, teachers, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Manage a rotating caseload; specific schools and age groups may be assigned throughout the contract as needs arise
- Maintain thorough, compliant records on student progress and therapy outcomes
- Adapt to changing assignments, first covering a vacancy in Hazelwood, then providing FMLA coverage in the Normandy district
