Make an impact in the lives of students by providing essential occupational therapy services across three vibrant school campuses. This contract opportunity offers a dynamic setting supporting diverse learners from elementary through high school within a collaborative team environment.
You’ll work on-site, engaging with students at Barrington Elementary, North Middle School, and West High School in the Hazelwood area. The role extends through the academic school year, with a Monday-Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week. You’ll have the chance to tailor interventions, foster student independence, and help create positive school experiences.
Desired Background:
- Valid Missouri Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- School-based OT experience highly preferred
- Strong ability to adapt therapy plans for a variety of ages and needs
- Excellent communication skills for working with staff, students, and families
- Experience managing a balanced caseload across multiple sites
- Commitment to timely and thorough documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services based on student IEPs
- Work collaboratively with educational teams to integrate therapy into classroom routines
- Assess student needs and progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
- Maintain clear, compliant records and data for each student
- Communicate regularly with teachers, administrators, and families
- Support smooth transitions between elementary, middle, and high school environments
This role requires completion of district credentialing, including fingerprinting and submission of the TCN number, as well as a signed technology form in advance of your first day.
