Step into a rewarding opportunity to support student success as a school-based Occupational Therapist. Located in the vibrant Saint Louis, MO area, this contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference while working directly on-site with students across three Hazelwood District schools: Barrington Elementary, North Middle School, and West High School. With a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you’ll provide vital OT services throughout the academic year, from now through late May 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Occupational Therapy license issued by the state of Missouri (MO OT License required)
- Prior experience working in K-12 educational settings strongly preferred
- Familiarity with a range of school-based OT interventions, documentation, and IEP processes
- Ability to adapt services for multiple age groups, from elementary to high school students
- Completion of required district credentialing, including fingerprinting (must provide TCN number), and district technology agreements
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based therapy services to students across three schools
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to tailor intervention plans and support student goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress monitoring and documentation
- Manage a diverse caseload spanning several age ranges and grade levels
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal documentation standards
- Serve as a resource for staff regarding OT strategies in the classroom setting
