A dynamic contract opportunity awaits school-based Occupational Therapists seeking a meaningful role in special education. This position, located near Saint Peters, MO, serves students across diverse settings in Florissant and St. Louis. Start as soon as possible, with coverage first needed in one district until October 19th, and then flex your skills for a 12-week FMLA assignment in another, extending until late January.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Missouri OT license required
- Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with educators, families, and support staff
- Must complete district credentialing: fingerprinting (with TCN number submission) and technology form compliance
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in caseload and school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students—ages and caseloads to be determined
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized interventions in accordance with IEP goals
- Document sessions and progress accurately, maintaining compliance with district and state standards
- Consult with teachers and families to provide strategies for classroom and home support
- Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary planning as needed
- Ensure timely communication and collaboration between multiple school sites
