This contract position offers a chance to make a meaningful difference by providing services in Barrington Elementary, North Middle School, and West High School. You’ll collaborate with educators and families, helping students access their full potential in academic and daily living activities.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in Missouri is required
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric environment is strongly preferred
- Comfortable serving a diverse caseload across multiple age groups—from elementary to high school
- Skilled in individualized evaluation, intervention planning, and implementing creative, student-centered solutions
- Strong communication skills for interacting with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to manage responsibilities across three schools within the Hazelwood area
- Willingness to complete district credentialing steps, including fingerprinting (TCN number submission) and required technology documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students based on individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support student educational goals
- Provide expert evaluation, documentation, and progress reporting for each student
- Adapt strategies and environments to foster student participation and independence
- Support training and education for teachers and staff to carry out recommendations
- Balance your weekly schedule on-site over 37.5 hours among the three assigned schools
