Qualifications:
- Current California state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- At least one year of school-based OT experience preferred
- Solid understanding of therapy needs relevant to K-12 students
- Proficiency in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough student assessments and interpret findings for educational teams
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to students in a K-12 setting
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and service providers to ensure consistent support
- Document session notes and progress in accordance with school policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress review
- Adapt strategies and interventions to meet diverse learning and physical needs
