Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our school-based therapy team for the full academic year. This onsite position provides an opportunity to work closely with students, educators, families, and a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support student participation, independence, and success in the educational environment.
The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for evaluating students, developing individualized treatment plans, overseeing service delivery, and supervising the COTA in accordance with state and district regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
- Develop, implement, and monitor therapy plans aligned with student IEP goals.
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services.
- Supervise and collaborate with the assigned COTA to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers.
- Recommend adaptive equipment, classroom modifications, and intervention strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance records.
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- NBCOT certification preferred.
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to effectively supervise and mentor a COTA.

Compensation for this position ranges from $43.86 to $63.86. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
