Occupational Therapist School Setting in Seattle, WA
Step into an exciting opportunity to support students’ growth and achievements as a contracted Occupational Therapist for the 2025–2026 school year. Make a difference while working in a dynamic environment near Seattle, WA, serving either two schools (elementary and middle) or a combination of smaller elementary schools and a middle school. This engaging position is structured around a weekly workload, with a caseload currently in the mid-50s and a maximum of 60 students. Middle school students are typically seen 1–2 times monthly, allowing for flexibility and thoughtful planning.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapy license for the state of Washington
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff
- Ability to manage and prioritize a diverse caseload focused on both elementary and middle school populations
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, student-centered atmosphere
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and provide direct and consultative OT services to students as determined by IEP goals and individualized needs
- Collaborate closely with educators and families to develop and monitor progress on intervention plans
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in team meetings
- Utilize a flexible service delivery model, serving students in group and individual formats across multiple school sites
- Integrate weekly support from a COTA (minimum 1.5 days per week)
