This role is an exceptional way to expand your resume for the 25/26 school year, bringing your skills to support two schools—either an elementary and middle school, or potentially two smaller elementary schools plus a middle school. You’ll enjoy the support of a COTA, allowing you to focus on impactful interventions. Exposure to different schools means learning agile workplace practices, strengthening leadership skills, and growing versatility as an OT. No two weeks are the same!
Desired Skills & Requirements:
- Active OT license with school-based experience preferred
- Ability to manage caseloads approaching 60, primarily based on “workload” vs. number of students
- Experience working with elementary and/or middle school populations
- Ability to coordinate with COTAs and collaborate within school teams
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide adapted intervention and support to K-8 students
- Develop and implement IEP goals, assess needs, and document progress
- Collaborate with educators, families, and COTA support (minimum 1.5 days/week)
- Manage a weekly workload of approximately 37.5 hours
- Deliver services in both group and individual settings
- Deliver services primarily one to two times monthly for most middle schoolers
