Virtual Occupational Therapist – New Mexico
A welcoming school district in New Mexico is seeking a dedicated Virtual Occupational Therapist (OT) to support students through high-quality virtual occupational therapy services. Responsibilities
- Provide virtual occupational therapy services to students in a school-based setting.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 9 students.
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations, assessments, and screenings as appropriate.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and educational goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, special education staff, and related service providers.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of student IEPs.
- Monitor student progress and adjust services as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and special education requirements.
- Support students in developing the skills necessary for participation and success in the educational environment.
Experience
- School-based or pediatric occupational therapy experience preferred.
- Previous teletherapy experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to provide engaging and effective virtual therapy services.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary educational team.
Education & Licensing
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field as required.
- New Mexico PED licensure/qualification required.
- Candidates must meet all applicable New Mexico Public Education Department requirements for providing school-based occupational therapy services.
